Local Data Storage & Preferences

Your starred rivers, selected activity profiles, and display preferences are stored locally in your web browser (via localStorage). No personal identifiable information (PII) is collected, sold, or synced to cloud user profiles.

Geolocation Privacy

When you use the "Find Rivers Near Me" feature, your device coordinates are processed entirely in client-side memory to calculate distance to nearby Australian river stations. Your exact GPS position is never saved, uploaded, or logged on any remote server.

External Data Sources

River conditions, river levels, and atmospheric forecasts are retrieved directly from public open data feeds (Bureau of Meteorology Water Data Online and Open-Meteo).
